Embrace Your Journey
That's the sensation, isn't it? That inner conflict, the guilt that nags at you, as if you're cheating yourself out of the best life and the best version of yourself.
I've experienced several moments when it seemed like life was hurtling forward at an incredible pace. Many of my friends began relocating from the places we called home. Some ventured abroad to pursue their master's degrees, while others simply moved to new residences. I felt genuinely happy and proud of their new adventures, yet I couldn't help but feel a tinge of sadness because my own journey didn't involve such a dynamic shift.
As young adulthood set in, I began to notice that people my age were earning more money or travelling more extensively. It felt like they were advancing across the "Game of Life" board at a swifter pace than I was.
I'm sure many of you have experienced something similar. It's not always easy to admit, but these moments occur. You can't help but feel like everyone else is outperforming you and surging ahead, while you're deliberating over whether to hit that "send" button on a mail.
After some time, you reach a point where you can't continue at the same pace as before, and you realize the need to catch up with everyone. You push yourself to become more proactive, meticulously planning how to bring dynamic changes to your life. When you start, there's a glimmer of hope, and you feel like you've taken a significant step forward.
Dream, attract, manifest – that's the plan, right? However, a few weeks down the line, you find yourself trying to sprint ahead of your own natural growth rhythm. As you begin to slow down, self-doubt creeps in, and you start to question your worth, feeling like you can't measure up to those around you because you're not moving quickly enough.
That's the sensation, isn't it? That inner conflict, the guilt that nags at you, as if you're cheating yourself out of the best life and the best version of yourself.
Take a deep breath.
Remember, each person in this world operates on their own unique timeline. It might appear that people around you are surging ahead.
But here's the truth: some are also trailing behind. Everyone is navigating their own race, within their own distinct time zone. You're precisely where you need to be, right in your own time zone.
One day, one step, one breath at a time, and sooner than you think, you'll glance back and wonder why you ever fretted about your position in life. Regardless of your goal, it will demand effort to reach where you want to be, but I assure you, it will be worth it. I've yet to encounter someone who didn't feel a sense of pride and accomplishment after enhancing their life.
So, relax. You're not early, and you're not late. You're right on time, precisely where you are meant to be.
