End It, Before It Ends You
The madness doesn’t seem to stop. You can choose to remain trapped in it or regain control of your senses.
I look around, and it’s alarming to see that we’re all afflicted with the same sickness. I can’t stop talking about it, especially in a world where not scrolling is considered abnormal. When people ask, “If you’re not on your phone, what do you do with your time? What do you do when you’re bored?” it makes me wonder if that’s really all there is to life.
The phone has taken over us—a device that should be, in essence, just a tool. But it’s not all that useless, because for many, it has become their entire life.
Today, I’m not here to discuss a digital detox. I’m done with the usual excuses—“I use my phone for everything.” I’ve thought about it, and I’m trying to wrap my head around how you spend 90% of your time on your phone. You’ve lost your alone time, and that’s harmful—but let’s face it, that’s the reality.
Because I care about your growth, I want to hear your success story when you finally make it. Rest assured, you will make it—but not by staying glued to your device. If you can’t take the hard step of letting go of those apps, then forget about success and stop reading this right now, because it will be of no use to you.
But you want to change. That person you always envision—that’s who you want to be, and that’s why you didn’t stop reading.
In a world where people have freed themselves from these devices, there’s no reason why you can’t. You won’t die without your phone.
You don’t have to let go entirely, though. There’s an app we all have on our phones where we can learn virtually anything. It pains me that most of our generation doesn’t realize its potential. That’s why I’m letting you know. We all know YouTube, and we’ve all used it for one thing or another. Some people use it wrongly, seeing it as just another “social media” platform to waste time.
But that won’t be you anymore. There’s more to YouTube than just “YouTube Shorts.” The same YouTube that person A used to build themselves into a success story is the same YouTube that person B uses for endless scrolling with nothing to show for it.You want to learn a language? There’s a YouTube channel for it. Is it web development? Name the skill; it’s all on YouTube.
So, what’s stopping you from using this powerful tool the right way? It’s time to flip the script. Instead of letting YouTube be just another distraction, make it your gateway to a better future.
Start small. Pick one thing you’ve always wanted to learn or improve on. Maybe it’s a new language, web development, digital marketing, or even something as simple as cooking better meals. Search for tutorials, find a YouTube channel dedicated to that skill, and commit to watching and practicing daily. The beauty of it is that you can learn at your own pace, and it’s all free.
You have the power to turn your phone into a tool for growth, rather than a device that keeps you stagnant. It’s all about how you choose to use it. Will you continue letting it control you, or will you take control?
Remember, success doesn’t come from dreaming; it comes from doing. So start today. Write down what you want to learn, find the resources, and commit to making it happen. The future you’ve always wanted is within your reach—you just have to reach out and grab it.
