I am not here to entertain you and fill your ears with sweet words. I'm here to tell you that success is hard. Nothing will happen if you refuse to put in the work, nothing will happen if you lie all day on your phone, and nothing will happen if you don't stand up to take control of your life.
Taking Control of Your Life
If your life is in disarray, and you are doing nothing about it because you don't feel like it or are waiting for someone to push you, snap out of it! Nobody is going to push you. You are doing this for yourself, and if you can't push yourself to start, then who will? Let's say I keep telling you to get up and take action; I can do nothing about it if you refuse to listen. Your life is in your hands.
You want to take control of your life? Look at how you are spending your time and track it. Your biggest asset is your time. How you use those seconds, minutes, and hours will determine where you are going to be by the end of the day.Â
You make your choices and your choices make you.
Do you love the choices you are making? Be conscious of the choices you make. If you don't want to spend your whole day scrolling, do yourself a favor and keep your phone away. Want to build a reading habit? Before bedtime, refuse to let your phone lull you to sleep. Read a few pages from a book. If you want to take charge of your finances, read books on finances. The values you get from books are invaluable; these are people's experiences over the years carefully written on those pages.
I won't drag you out of your bed. I won't restrict you from using your phone. Only you can do that. Take control of your time, be mindful about your choices, and be consistent.
Starting Small Matters
It will be boring at first, that's for sure. You don't expect that removing habits you've had for most of your life will be easy. It is when you don't stop that your efforts accumulate, and you have something to show for your hard work in the end. No results after 30 days? Go for 30 more days, and after that, 30 more days again. It is still not guaranteed that you will see visible results, but if you stop, that's the end.
Success doesn't come easy, and taking control of your life requires discipline and determination. The journey is long and requires persistence. Showing up every day, making conscious choices, and consistently working towards your goals will eventually lead to the progress you desire.Â
Don't wait for the perfect moment—start now…
