HOW TO COPE WITH STRESSFUL MOMENTS.
Whenever you feel stressed out from work or any challenge you face in life, take a deep breath and a break from your work.
On a Monday evening, I was trekking to my home with a throbbing headache and a palpitating heart, sweating profusely out of the stress I had been experiencing for days. It's a feeling that has become constant in my life and I sometimes brood on overcoming those moments.
But can stress be overcome or even avoided?
I know many of us often desire a stress-free life, but wishing for such a life is just a fallacy as stress can never be avoided. It can only be managed depending on your attitude towards it. Our attitude towards those moments is what will determine our response to them. Your pounding heart during an uncomfortable point is only preparing you for taking action to propel you forward, especially in social situations.
Encountering some moments of stress is required to achieve our desires and goals as it has a pivotal role in pushing us to take the right actions. Although, at some point in our lives we all feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and anxious about the future.
But those stressful moments can be coped with by changing your mindset from stress being a life-threatening feeling to it being a challenge you have to encounter to become better.
Embrace stress like a friend that you can't do without but can be managed when it starts becoming overwhelming. Whenever you feel stressed out from work or any challenge you face in life, take a deep breath and a break from your work.
Sleep, meditate or even perform some mild exercises that can help to alleviate your stress and boost your mood. Talking and sharing your fears, anxiety, and stress with your loved ones can also help to relieve those moments of stress. Celebrating your wins by engaging in things that you enjoy and love doing. If your stress becomes persistent and excessively overwhelming, seek the help of a professional therapist or a doctor to assist you with the best coping mechanism for your situation.
Learning to cope with your stress is the key to ultimate happiness and fulfilment.
