At some point in our lives, failure is something that we will all encounter and it is the fundamental element of success. If you want to become successful, failure is a constant thing you can't avoid.
Failing could be devastating especially when you know the amount of effort and the best you put into it. It could be academic failure, failure in a career, or even failure in relationships.
Hence, it is imperative to learn how to deal with any failure we encounter in our lives as it will be a driving force for success in our lives.
Rather than wallowing in self-pity and placing continuous blame on yourself for failing, knowing how to cope with it will allow you to embrace failure as part of life, as there is no success without failures.
Every amount of failures you experience is propelling you forward to achieving the success you desire, knowing that when you fail you are not losing but learning, and the faster you fail the more you learn.
Here are 4 helpful approaches you can use to deal with failures.
1. Accept failure as part of life, it is something nobody can't escape from. Avoiding such situations will only lead to more potential failures, and change the way you perceive it.
2. Embrace failure as a friend and not an enemy, failure is here to teach you so you can learn. Use the experience you gain from it for your personal growth, and reflect on the right actions to take next time.
3. Practice self-compassion, and avoid beating yourself up for the mistakes you have made, it is okay to fail sometimes, failure is not a bad thing. Take care of yourself and move past failure. Don't quit too early as giving up is never an option. Take a break and re-strategize again.
4. Your past doesn't define your present moment and future, stop brooding in your past and focus on the NOW reality. Being focused on now will allow you to take the right actions.
As Tony Robbins rightly said: The only thing that keeps us from getting what we want is the story we keep telling ourselves about why we can't have it. This shows that you need to eliminate those negative thoughts about your experience and make the best use of your now.
Failure is not the reflection of your self-worth and avoid taking failure personally.
You said it's okay to fail sometimes, what if you find yourself failing all the time??
Thank you for this☺️
