I Am Lost
I think I’m lost. I really don't know how to live the rest of my life. I feel hopeless and depressed, with no goals or dreams. What should I do?
You're lying. This is what happened.
You did have a goal. It was too big for you to achieve. And you called it quits in the middle.
You thought it was a child’s play. You thought you could make it just like somebody else. But then, reality hit you. And that was it.
You did slog hard for that goal. You worked like a maniac for days and nights.
The initial days were electrifying. But after repetitive failures, you started becoming work-shy. You started hunting for excuses.
You blamed your family. Your friends. Your environment. And even your brain for failures.
You started saying that I'm becoming mentally ill so that people will convince you not to work hard. So that people will ask you to not take much load. So that people will convince you that it's okay to be ordinary.
And you got convinced. Because that's exactly what you wanted.
You were good for a few months. Cool!
But with a missing goal/aim in your life, you start feeling a void. A few days down the line, you sit for introspection. And you realize what blunder you’ve committed in the past.
Now you’re swimming in the dark void of self-guilt. You think there's no coming back. And you ask this question—
I think I’m lost. I really don't know how to live the rest of my life. I feel hopeless and depressed, with no goals or dreams. What should I do?
Start over.
A goal unachieved creates a void that can never be filled by anyone. Not by your loving partner. Not by your family. Not by any gym. Not by travelling places.
You'll always feel something is missing. And it will affect your sleep cycle and eventually your health.
You'll feel a deep restlessness all the time. Believe me, this feeling is worse than death. That's why most people can't take this low feeling of restlessness anymore and end their lives.
So better do what you've always wanted to do. Even if you're not seeing the results immediately.
As that’s the only way to survive.
To fight.
And to get your self-esteem back.
Jazakumullahu khair for sharing this, It's a great help to me. Expecting more and implementing it to achieve my goal
