Everything you do revolves around your mindset.
Your actions, and how your day will go, are influenced by what you think daily. I once told a student of mine: If you want to have a good day, sleep with a smile on your face. If you wake up in a bad mood, you’ll notice a shadow of negativity lingering throughout the day.
One thing is certain: Success is determined through mindset. You might fall over and over, in fact, countless times. But it’s the next attempt that leads to success. Your mindset determines whether you persist through those initial setbacks or give up.
We are what we think. Our thoughts not only influence our lives — they shape our reality. This thing called mindset goes beyond influence. It’s what actually makes your life what it is. Your thoughts make a reality.
Once you control your mindset, you master your reality.
No doubt, you can get consciously stimulated by events. However, those conscious stimuli don’t happen as often as you’d need them to. What really controls your thoughts is your subconscious. Your subconscious mind plays the biggest role in how you perceive things, whether as good or bad.
And it is mostly responsible for the limits you set yourself. If you tell yourself that you can’t win, then you won’t. To take control of your realities and break free from self-imposed limits, you must master your subconscious.
The Question Now Is: How Do You Do That?
The key to mastering your subconscious lies in reflection.
In order to gain control over your subconscious mind, you must deliberately alter your self-talk. Whenever you find yourself immersed in negative self-talk, take a moment to pause and reflect. For instance, if you find yourself thinking that you can't succeed, question whether it's because of inadequate preparation or simply a result of self-doubt and self-sabotage.
Take a moment to reflect on whether your subconscious thoughts are based on objective reality or merely subjective perceptions. It's essential to differentiate between what's genuinely happening and what might be distorted by your inner dialogue.
Consciously cultivating positive self-talk is a powerful tool for shaping your subconscious mind. Our brains are remarkably adaptable and constantly absorb information from our surroundings. Maintaining a positive outlook and constructive self-talk consistently makes you actively mould your subconscious to align with your goals and aspirations.
In addition to monitoring your self-talk, consider the impact of your surroundings. Are the people you interact with regularly contributing to negative thoughts or fostering a positive atmosphere? Is your environment conducive to self-improvement, or does it tend to make you feel self-doubt or negativity? These factors can significantly influence your subconscious and, ultimately, your overall well-being and success.
If you find that your answer is yes, it's crucial to take proactive steps to initiate change. Consider making conscious efforts to modify aspects of your life that contribute to negative influences. This could involve reassessing your social circle, seeking more positive interactions, or changing the environments you frequent.
Mastering your subconscious begins with becoming master of your conscious mind. It all starts with self-reflection and an honest evaluation of your current reality. By recognizing and addressing the factors that impact our thoughts and perceptions, we can actively work toward positive change and personal growth.
