Sometimes, you can't seem to put pen to paper, to let those ambitions out with ink, to have them written down. You feel it's impossible, and you think you're already too old to be starting a success story. This is another downside of the internet. You compare yourself to a teen and make an excuse: "If only I had started earlier." You look at their life compared to yours and feel disheartened.
Let's be realistic: life is not balanced, and that's how it should be. Imagine a world where we all belong to the same class. Does that sound interesting to you?
There will always be someone out there better than you in every way and sometimes even younger. So what? Just because you didn't know some things early on doesn't make you less of a person. It doesn't mean you can't learn it now.
The only person you should compare yourself to is yourself. When you focus on others and engage in unhealthy competition, you won't get far. It will always end in frustration. You're not too old; now is the perfect time.
You're not too old to start, It's right before your eyes, Like Henry Ford at forty, Who soared beyond the skies. So why panic, give up, retreat, Telling yourself it's too late? Age is but a number, Determined by your state. Success has no age limit, Nor does it come too late. Embrace the journey forward, For now is never too late.
When You Refuse to Take Action
Time flees, and as it does, you keep getting a day older. What you do in those days matters. Were you better than yesterday? That's the question you should ask yourself. Life becomes meaningful when you strive to be a better version of yourself every day. You improve by the end of the day and put a smile on your face.
You don't have to compete with others to be happy. Your happiness is within you.
Overnight success is untrue. You don't know the backstory or how someone toiled in the night. So, don't speak ill of people who are better than you. Instead, observe and see what you can learn from them.
Stay happy and strive to be better than yesterday.
Every day is as important for a success story to be made.
Thanks for the insights.
Indeed, not starting is the success stealer.
Thank you for the reiteration that ‘Age is just but a number’.
