As an introvert, I've always found solace in the pages of a good book. There's something about losing myself in a story that just feels so comforting and cathartic. And as I've gotten older, my love of reading has only continued to grow.
It wasn't always easy for me to embrace my love of reading, though. Growing up, I was always a bit of an outcast. I didn't fit in with the popular crowd and I often felt like I didn't belong. But then I discovered the world of Young Adult fiction, and everything changed.
These books spoke to me in a way that nothing else had before. They were full of characters who were just as awkward and misunderstood as I felt, and they showed me that it was okay to be different. Through reading, I found a sense of belonging and community that I had been missing for so long.
As I entered college, my love of reading only continued to grow. I became an avid reader of Nigerian literature and discovered the rich and diverse culture of my home country through the pages of these books. And through reading, I found a sense of connection to my heritage and my fellow Nigerians that I had never experienced before.
Now, as an adult, my love of reading is stronger than ever. It's a constant source of inspiration and joy for me, and I can't imagine my life without it. And as an introvert, it's a way for me to connect with others and the world around me in a way that feels comfortable and natural.
So if you're an introvert like me, I encourage you to embrace your love of reading. You never know where it might take you. Any relationship with the story, feel free to share
